Tom Vanderheyden

A member of the senior leadership team for UnitedHealth International, Tom has responsibility for market development and operations for TPA and brokerage businesses in India and Portugal. Prior to his current role, Tom  has been with UnitedHealth Group for six years in leadership roles within mergers and acquisitions, technology, and global operations.  In 2006 and 2007 he lived in India while building a 2000+ person service and technology organization.

 

Tom’s twenty year career prior to UnitedHealth Group included systems engineering and sales responsibilities at IBM, creating an IT infrastructure outsourcing business within a publicly held IT staffing firm in Chicago, managing a Midwest regional technology and business consulting company and raising venture capital as Chief Operations Officer of an early stage software business.

Tom holds a Bachelors degree in Organizational Management and Communications and an MBA in Global Management.
